Answers before you even ask.
The questions patients, families and referring providers ask most. Anything missing? Call (929) 555-0134 — a person answers, not a portal.
Mobile wound care means a wound specialist travels to you — your home, a family member's home, or an adult-care residence — instead of you traveling to a wound center. Apollo Wound Care brings the same clinical capabilities you'd find in an outpatient wound clinic, including sharp debridement, compression therapy, wound VAC management and advanced dressings, directly to patients across all five boroughs of New York City.
Apollo Wound Care serves all five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island. Timothy Donoho, PA travels borough-wide — from Riverdale to Tottenville and Far Rockaway to Inwood.
Care is provided by Timothy Donoho, PA (NPI 1407323421), a physician associate specializing in wound management. Every visit is performed personally by a licensed clinician — never a technician — and findings are documented and shared with your existing doctors.
We treat diabetic foot ulcers, pressure injuries (bedsores), venous leg ulcers, arterial and ischemic wounds, post-surgical wounds including dehiscence, traumatic wounds and skin tears, and chronic wounds requiring sharp debridement, negative pressure wound therapy (wound VAC) or advanced skin-substitute products.
No referral is required to request a visit — you, a family member, a home-care agency or a physician can reach out directly. When a referral or order is needed for a specific therapy or for insurance purposes, we coordinate that with your physician for you.
Apollo Wound Care works with Medicare and many major insurance plans. Coverage varies by plan and by service, so call us with your insurance information and we'll verify your benefits before the first visit — no surprises.
In most cases we can schedule an initial visit within a few business days, and urgent wounds are prioritized. Call us and we'll find the earliest slot that works for your borough and schedule.
The first visit is a comprehensive evaluation: your wound is measured, photographed and staged; circulation and sensation are assessed; your medical history and medications are reviewed; and treatment begins the same day whenever appropriate. You leave the visit — without ever leaving home — with a clear written plan, a dressing schedule, and a direct line for questions.
Yes — coordination is a core part of the service. Visit notes and wound photos are shared with your primary care physician, specialists and home health agency, and we communicate directly with surgeons after post-operative visits. Good wound care is a team sport; we make sure the team is connected.
For most chronic wounds, consistency drives healing — and home-based care dramatically improves consistency because no visit is lost to transportation, weather or mobility problems. The clinical procedures are the same ones performed in outpatient wound centers; the difference is that they happen reliably, in the environment where your wound actually lives, with your real mattress, footwear and daily routine in view.
